The majority of my projects are done using Red Heart yarns. Where I live there is only one speciality store close by, and since they're only open certain hours on certain days, I don't get to stop by much. If I want to do something nice as a present, I usually have to order what I want online. You can substitute any yarn you like, just make sure you check your gauge!!! Changing your needle size to suit will allow you to use just about any yarn you want.
My Opinion
I think patterns are not rule books, but guides to help knitters create something special for a family member, a friend, or for themselves. The patterns I have posted are a few things I've done without consulting a 'pattern'. As you can see, I like mindless knitting. If you want something with a little 'oomph', change the colors, add stripes, double strand, add an edge, your choices are endless so make it your own. Whatever you do, enjoy it! I hope you get a little inspiration from what you see, and create something special for someone you love! Who doesn't love getting a gift?! For those of you who don't like what you see, just click the little 'X' at the top of the window. You don't have to be here!
